10. Move the door handle out to access the lock and handle rods. The GM manual says to remove inside the door but I found this way to be much easier.

11. Remove the lock cylinder from old handle and install in new handle.(removing the clip all the way is easiest)

12. Take some time before installing the handle to clean the door. Now reinstall the new handle and hook up rods.

13. Install and tighten bolts in new handle.

14. Before reinstalling the door panel make sure to replace rubber plug and make sure the bolt inserts line up. (Make sue it doesn't look like the picture below)

15. Reinstall door panel, plug in all wires and snap bolt covers back on.

16. Repeat on 3 more doors. (Rear doors only have 2 10mm bolts in door panel)

17. Stand back and enjoy your work.

Nice writeup!!

A magnetic 10MM socket is crazy helpful with the bolts. If you don't have a magnetic 10MM, the one of those magnets on a stick is almost necessary to dig the bolts out of the bottom of the doors when you inevitably drop one or two.

Very nice! If you need to replace a broken interior door handle, this is a good starting point!
