Define "not accurate." I assume that the time is correct before the issue, but to what does it reset? How far off is it?
Turning on ignition, it displays 12:00 am. But the annoying glitch happens sometimes…..
I reset the clock ….. It happened yesterday, but not today…. weird…..

Battery connection or weak cell in battery would be my guess.
1st time… this morning my starter was hesitant to start…….
YOU are correct….. I tightened the battery connections…. They were not REAL tight….
I think it is solved… I will find out later this morning…..

Clock seems good now….. I will figure a way to secure the battery connections better ( side-mounted )

I keep an 8mm box wrench in the fuse box that is next to the battery. That has been there for years. I've had good luck with AGM's. I had 3 Optima Red tops - in the 1500 XL - 2004 - 2011, 2011 - 2020, 2020 - 2023 ( when he left me due to frame rot ). in both trucks ( 2001 and 2002 ), I get a reset of the clock a couple of times a year. I stopped looking for the cause.

I have my 8mm zip-tied to my battery handle.
