2005 tahoe instrument cluster (prndl) not lit

anyone know to or have fixed their instument cluster with the prndl not lighting up? everything works but the gear indicator. from videos on youtube it has something to do with the resistors but i want to make sure before i tried it so i am asking for some assistance if anyone has done this. thanks

The youtube videos citing the resistors are correct.

Go that route.
