Sucked it up and dropped the hammer yesterday for a complete repaint of my 04, Z71 Tahoe. Bought it new and have kept it fairly nice w/275K miles. The black paint has slowly begin to check. Thought I'd do a touch-up but found a good shop (fish on!) and believe their price is reasonable here in northern Calif. Their estimate was very detailed and we've walked the vehicle twice. Unknowns are of course plastics and rubber at removal ? Step sides, roof rack, frt and rear bumpers all come off. Possible new grill pcs ? Windshield stays in, glad of that since it's brand new.

Just got it out of the muffler shop last week. Dual outlet Flowmaster w/ pencil tips. Nice sound & vintage look.

I'll get some pics and post - he's saying 3-4 weeks but I won't rush him.

Oh, BTW I'm looking for some new Z71 side decals w/ bling (red accents). On line there is a good selection however they all say "Off Road" which I don't care for.

Following, I'm the original owner on a '02 Z71 (Summit White) and getting ready to pull the trigger. I found the "gold" Z71 emblems for my year, go for about $100+ each... ouch.
