2004 Yukon Denali Factory Navigation Unlock

Since I have had the vehicle I have always wanted to be able to unlock the navigation so passenger can input directions while moving. I've read about switch but figured that would mess with vehicle location. Well suddenly in the last week the navigation unit has become fully functional while driving. Does anyone know what would cause this and secondly is there any secret or hidden diagnostics or setup menus for the factory navigation? I have read on other forums that Cadillacs had a menu for inputting codes and another menu for enabling other options such as inputting information working while moving and seeing exact coordinates and gyroscope. I believe it involved pushing an area at the top or bottom of the map screen. Is there any such thing that works for a 2004 Yukon Denali?
