2004 Yukon Denali 6.0 awd fuel filter location???

Hi forum,

Well I picked up a fuel filter from Napa and I was going to change it but I can't find the fuel filter!
I looked all up and down the rail where the fuel lines run but I do not see the filter

Does anyone know where it is?

I see a plastic plate by the drive axle covering a side of the fuel tank? It is really hard to pop off and I believe its possible to fuel filter is behind it?
can anyone confirm?

Welcome to the forum from Colorado!

It seems to me that only the Flex Fuel engines that year had inline fuel filters. There's not one near the exterior of the tank.

Welcome from Texas! Is your Denali a “Z” vin, or “T” vin (non-FlexFuel). Like @Fless said, only the FF models have the inline filter, which would be on the driver side, just inside the frame rail pretty much under the driver seat.
