I forgot to tell you that you use the o-ring instead of the gasket. There is a channel to install the o-ring in to and then tighten down. Make sure all surfaces are very clean. I personally used some fresh grease on the o-ring. Never ever had a leak.

Changed the oil yesterday w/ mobil high mileage and filter, may regret how tight I put my filter on when I go to change it next, had a rough day wasn't focusing just cranking away.
Also changed my oil cooler block plate gasket with a felpro gasket, interesting it was thin and all metal, but I don't see a drip of oil collecting at the bottom of my filter anymore.

Also painted my lower valence black
I am doing a 2500hd front end soon with new powder coated bumper, bumper pad, and grille
Was curious about my tow hooks and wondering what their fate will be during the conversion If i can keep them in there when my bumper is dropped 1.75"
Just now noticing they are sitting at slightly different heights from eachother
I guess my options are take them off, they may fit as they sit, or take out the vertical bolt and change the angle of them downward a bit.
You could always cut the bottom of the HD grill down and use your existing bumper like I did. IMAG1707_418365498845351.jpgIMAG1725_418533484238620.jpg

Gonna go through with complete conversion. Hoping to still fit the tow hooks, in 13 yrs I don't remember really needing them but I know if I take them off that's when I'll get buried at the beach.

Ordered tires today. Michelin defenders 265/70r18 for the takeoff wheels I got!!
Funny she's 20 yrs old and just finally getting some fresh wheels.
My tune is already set for new tire size

Also found someone to buy my old snowflakes for 500

I believe I have the Fahrens in my low beams now. If so, happy with them (I STILL need to swap out my retrofit heads I’ve had for nearly a year!!) The Sylvania zevos however.. I had a failure within less than a month. And the price for those vs. competitors is ridiculous. Would not recommend.

ETA: I have used the zevo bulbs in my old civic tails, and they’re lasting so far. I only had problems with the DRL ones, so may be a fluke. I believe I used JDM Astar as replacements, but not 100%. Sorry.

Good to know thanks. I'll go with the Fahren low beams.
On the hunt for DTRL and I think I'll swap my reverse lights to LED as well

Going to head to the junkyard looking for the hatch glass off a 2006 tahoe with the better hinges.
Then I am going to tint my windshield and rear hatch.
Also have to fix my hatch glass button, I don't use it but still it should function properly, I have seen a fix on youtube with rubber gaskets to help keep pressure on the button outward.

Better hinges? I thought the only difference was the handle/rubber trim going around the glass.
