We are preparing to develop a new digital instrument cluster for:

  • Cadillac 2003-2006 models
  • Chevrolet Silverado 2003-2006 models
The project will focus on OEM-style fitment, modern UI design, and full compatibility with original vehicle data communication.

We would also like to collect suggestions and feedback from vehicle owners, installers, and automotive enthusiasts during the development process.

We Want To Know:

  • Which UI style do you prefer?
  • OEM style or performance style?
  • What functions are most important to you?
  • Do you want wireless CarPlay integration?
  • What startup animation would you like?
  • Which colors/themes should be added?
  • What problems do you have with the original cluster?
  • What features do you hope the new digital cluster will support?

Assuming it would be something like this...
(This listing seems to show two different models, one with smaller side guages, and one that is fullscreen.)

I don't like any animations or clutter, but I'm not your target audience and will probably stick with original.
Maybe you can have downloadable skins?
It is nice that you can display nav map on most of the dash.. and maybe rearview camera?
Many people seem to like carplay, but they may already have it in their aftermarket radio..

My main issue with the original cluster, is the actuators are noisy. I don't like the buffered temperature gauge.
It would be nice if you could select which warning messages to turn off. (Suspension, airbag, seatbelt, liftgate open, etc.)
