Hello All. got a problem with the stereo in my 2000 Tahoe. To my knowledge, it is the stock system rather than the Bose. The head unit powers up normally and looks to be working fine, however I have no sound what so ever out of the speakers. I am assuming it is the amp but not entirely certain. Any ideas? Also, where is the stock amp located (I have found several location ideas when searching). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Bose is a stock system, but you may have the non-Bose. Without the Bose system I don't think there is an amp, all speakers are powered from the head unit. If you do have the Bose system your amp is in the center console under the storage tray.

Check your fuses first.

There is an amp, whether you have the premium Bose or non-premium Bose. Th amp is located behind the glovebox.
