2000 Tahoe Limited. Want it lower.

I have a 2000 Tahoe Limited. I need new shocks and was thinking of lowering it a little more than it is from the factory. I have 2 sets of 20" rims with different size tires 265/50/20 and 275/45/20. What options are there for another 2" of drop.

Your more "permanent" lowering options are:
Front:
1. Spindle drop
2. Spring drop

Rear: Drop shackles

"Poor man drops" can be handled with different wheel/tire combos, but that will affect your speedo accuracy.

275/45/20 is a good tire on a dropped limited.

i cut a coil and a half in the front and did shackles in the rear. cheap but effective. rides pretty bad though
