2000 Escalade gauge question?

Hello gentlemen. I just received my new 120mph speedo, you know the one haha. My question is that the gauge needles seem to be all over the place not just resting on the "0" position. Is this normal ? Will they just self correct when I install it and power up? Or do I need to adjust them in some manner? Thank you all.

Mine were the same upon delivery.all worked fine once it was installed and running

yeah you might have notice that they are not really spring loaded.
