Looks great. That front bumper--the dimensions look a little different. Other then the vents and fogs. I can't quite place my finger on it. Maybe it's shorter then stock?
Tbh I am ignorant to what is stock GMC on it and what has been changed ie: the Tahoe grill.
Bumper may have been changed.

Is a well travelled unit.

Who knows where else it's been!?

I found a rear bumper at a wrecker the other day off a 94 Sierra. Perfect match to mine so are they generic?
He wanted 500 bucks for it! So he can keep it! Much better condition than mine but Wth?!!
Rare Spares....A greedy little man with shit that I want lol [emoji849][emoji110][emoji869]

Not really sure about the bumper--but $500?? That's just being greedy imo--although it is an import for you guys. What would a new cost if you had it shipped to you?

Yeah it was a frontal write off.
Looked like tree or post.

The business/owner is notorious for wanting to own people on anything he has for sale. No mates in his game. If you know him he'll charge for the privilege. Reknaw¿ [emoji108]

Still tho, talking to him the other day he is bringing containers in on sea freight and quoted me around 800 for ****** headers which is about the same as other businesses over here.

That's why I'm keen to work with what I have around me. [emoji106]

I know mate. I am always looking for a second hand set if I can get and just have them blasted and ceramic coated. That is still 400 for that.

If you can get a sweet ride together here I think you respect it more because it honestly cost you a shit tonne to do it ayy!

I'll even piece an exhaust if I can even tho I think I'll save for mandrel bent stainless.
Mean sounding [emoji110]

Hi
Been a few weeks and I've finally found a minute to do some stuff.
Today I'm getting the spotlights in the bumper going.

Have refurbished them recently while painting the grill and bowtie.
Git the whole deal back together to realise lights dont work.[emoji849] So pulled to pieces again.

When I painted the bowtie & grill insets I wasn't happy with how the bowtie was just double side taped to the grill so I drilled the pins added washers and made a couple of clips from some brazing rod.
Happier now that no one can pull it off the front n walk with it now.

I googled and got this--The 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe 4wd bolt pattern is 6-139.7 mm. This means there are 6 lugs and the diameter of the circle that the lugs make up measures 139.7 mm or 5.5 inches across.
I hope it helps. Those wheels would look good. I hope they fit.

Thanks for the help @Tonyrodz I appreciate the help from you guys that know about this stuff.[emoji106]
I also asked the guy selling them and you have just confirmed what he has answered in questions. Am thinking about blacking the bumpers if I get these rims.
Stealth Mode
Lol as stealth as something this size could be. [emoji41]

Hey fellas
I was checking fluid levels the ithe day and I've noticed that the radiator needed about a cup and a half of coolant to fill it to the cap. Radiator bottle was empty so topped it up to cold level.
Have noticed small patch of moisture under the truck over the day. Checked when I got home and is pretty much the same since filling.
Have checked the hoses, all look good.
Water pump feels okay,no noise.
Keeping good water temp.

Looks like a gasket and plate on the back of the water pump.

Do these leak over time?

There is some slight coolant beading along the steering arm and on the crank sensor sleeve underneath but you have to look real hard to make out the green.

What do ya reckon? Keep an eye on it and carry some water if shit starts getting hot?

Cheers if you have any in put [emoji106]

Is it coming out of the weep hole in the water pump? I'm guessing that could be your culprit.

I'm just having another look.
Is the weep hole on top of the pump, cant see anything from underneath. Pump is dry. Maybe waIt until it has cooled down completely then look for moisture patch?
