Howdy folks,
I've got a 08 Z71 that's got the CCM lift with BFG 285-65-18 and wanted to do a brake upgrade since the stock brakes are almost done.

I'm on a budget and would like to get recommendations for brake and rotor upgrade.

Much appreciated,

I have EBC slotted rotors and EBC greenstuff pads, and it was a big improvement (fade wise). Installed them at ~22k and now have ~76k on the truck with a lot of pad left. Cost was ~$250 for the front set.

Whatever you get, make sure you properly bed them in per manufacturer's specs. FYI mine had a slight squeal until broken it at 500 miles.

SW CT,
When I had my tahoe with CCM and 305/55/20's I upgraded to the SSBC Big brake kit up front which is a 1" larger rotor and the needed caliper mounts, added Hawk ceramic pads to them and used stock rotors w/ Hawk ceramic pads out back, noticeable difference over stock even with the larger tires...I don't know how long they would have lasted as I got rid of the tahoe prior to wearing them out.

Dito...I have the same set up and they work great. Slight squeal with very light breaking pressure (slightly more pressure and the squealing stops) for a while but the breaking is good.

If you weren't on a budget for four grand you could get some massive wilwood brakes 16/14.

But I have good things about the posi quiet metallic pads
