So i took a long trip to Homer from Anchorage (4hrs each way). By then both my rear door speakers were already blown (actually blown channels in Bose amp) and my two fronts were intermittently working, so that made for a very long trip. Mind you i never drive this thing anymore. But as soon as i got back home that night I ordered speakers.

I've been eyeing some speakers and decided this time to pass on the generic pioneer, kicker, alpine, etc speakers and went with CT sounds strato series, which is their mid grade components. Great price and great reviews.
Old Bose....that still worked!!! I'll give it to Bose...they make one hell of a speaker.

So far they sound great just off the head unit but you can tell they're hungry for more power @150rms. So near future I might be looking for an amp for these.

Looking good man, glad to see you back after the spam attack. PPI makes some really nice cheap 4 channels amps. When I was competing PPI amps had one of the cleanest signals and the adjustable crossovers were dead on.

Looking good man. How much do those speakers run? I’ve always run Pioneer and been happy but wouldn’t mind trying something new

So while I had the panels off I took advantage and copied a @Fosscore idea and plastidipped the speaker area and grille. Thought about putting a bow tie begins the grille but wasn't feelin it. But very happy with the end result.

Easy and why not. Doesn't get touched or handled. Fosscore's is holding up great.
I just have a hatred for it. Plus if it ever gets messed up on a grill it can't be peeled. I like paint. Mine need to be touched up after 2 years and it will be easy. I guess dip has its place but never on one of my rigs. Seen too much of it messed up after time.

Aren't the bose 2 ohms? How'd you wire it? Directly to an aftermarket hu?

That's cause you seen people who don't know how to use it, which is ok cause most don't know how to use it lol. Mine has never failed me cause I do it right. I'm not worried. Wanted a flat look for the grille. If I wanted gloss I would've used paint. I love the stuff , I've personally had nothing but perfect results with it:hands:

3ohm. And I was using a scocshe Bose adapter harness. Now with the new speakers everything is bypassed

Still messing with wires. Need to find power, ground, ignition and all that stuff and I can toss this harness forever , what a rats nest. You think by now they would have a better pnp system.
