I have an 04 Z71 and I replaced the upper and lower control arms, and I also had to replace the torsion bolt and nut. No lift or lowering kit, keeping it stock height.
The original torsion bolt and nut on the drivers side were cross threaded and was a royal pain to release the tension to get the lower control arm out. I marked the new bolts the same as the original bolts, the originals were almost all the way into the nut. Now the front of the truck is sitting 2 inches higher than the rear.
Is the fix as simple as loosening all the control arms to bolts to the frame and backing out the torsion bolt?
Thanks
Mike
