04 Denali, another TPMS Question

Lots of discussion on here. Tried programming TPMS via the owner's manual. I suspect all are original to the vehicle. I have had to do a lot of deferred maintenance on the vehicle since purchasing a year ago.

Saw several threads indicating that one should ONLY use the AC Delco sensors. For some model years, they are pretty cheap. For an 04, they are $55 each at RockAuto. I have found some genuine GM sensors at Amazon (same part number as on RockAuto) for $34.74 each.

Has anyone used an aftermarket "clone" version that is appreciably cheaper? If so, can I expect it to last as long as the GM part?

I have the luxury of having my own tire machine and wheel balancer in my hobby shop, so installation is an issue.

How much for 2003, 2005, 2006, or 2007? These should be compatible, but be careful the 2007s are the classic models.

Also, if expense is a problem, look for part outs of Avalanches, Cadillacs (Escalade, Escalade EXT, and Escalade SUT), Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon. If the TPMS in those is working, they will likely be cheap. You might also cross- reference parts with the vans of the era. GM often used the same parts across many models.
