03 Z 71 possible roof rack lights

03 Z71 Tahoe 5.3L 108K miles, all stock.

Hey, we were staring at the two circles in the rear of the roof rack. Has anyone put spot lights in these after cutting out the plastic trim piece? It would be great doe backing up in the dark or helping with the boat trailer.

The factory put these circles in the panel, but I have not seen anyone put lights in.

the original z71 tahoe concept had lights there. they ended up not going through with it for some reason.

if you take the plastic cover off, you find a barcket all ready there to mount your lights. check any auto parts / aftermarket ( stylin trucks). pop a hole for the wire and run it to your back-up lites

I did some aftermarket fogs in my roof rack. Got them from Autozone for $20. Flushed them in and wired them into my reverse lights for npw
