They are using a 12v dc transformer to power it up so instead of connecting the controller to the dc transformer just wire it up to power in your truck...courtesy or otherwise. Only factor is how much amperage it takes but they are LED's so it should be low & simple to install.

ha ha, I think I screwed in a light bulb to get the idea rolling. Sweet man glad you got yours done. Good job on finding the power source, do you have dome override function to kill the lights?

All done with 5 of these, foot wells wired to the courtesy lights on doors, and glove box has pushpin.

Yeah, dome override works...all the courtesy features other than the slow dimming out works. They look so good at night...

Did mine also, well still in progress. Trying to wire to a switch, that way i can turn them on when i want, but yet not have the overhead ones on at teh same time if i dont want, but yet have them on for courtesy. (does that make sense) Anyone know how to do this.
my only thinking on it, would be to wire to ignition place that way they come on w/ truck, but how to get them to come on also w/ courtesy if i leave the switch on is where im lost, if this is even possible. Basically would like to have the footwells come on idependtly if i like, or have them come on w/ courtesy if i like.

DWmatt- looks like you dont have overhead lights on. If you dont how did you wire it up so that the overhead lights arent on, but only the led lowers are. That is what im trying to do.

thanks

The over head lights are on just took pic at night and the blue over powers the pic on my camera, anybody know how to isolate the footwell lights and over head lights so they do go on seperate?
