Spark plugs are so cheap and easy to change. if you buy cheap brand then i would change them every 20k miles maybe. i have bosch fusion Irs on mine. chnaged them recently but i would expect them to last about 40k a little bit more. thats just how often i would do it. some people might saw wait longer.

Our trucks are picky when it comes to plugs. Save your self some heart ache and just get the stock ac delco iridiums, there good for a 100k. Just my .02

for me i generally go with how my car feels. when i get a used vehicle its usually one of the first things i do so i know how they are while i have it. after that if i notice more frequent fluctuations at an idle ill change them. ive never noticed anything else with i just like the engine to run smooth.
