Do they not make a frame mounted hitch for suburbans? I’ve heard horror stories about these things being totaled if you are towing or have the hitch in and you get rear ended it could bend the frame. Was hoping to get a frame mounted receiver, but I can’t find anything anywhere. Or even any one...
Picked up an old border patrol suburban 2500. Going to do the alignment on it in the next day or so and wanted to know if guys had any luck making these beasts drive a little better at highway speeds (less wandering etc) with an alignment different than factory specs (will be doing the alignment...
thank you very much, got the camera installed and partially ran. Waiting for camera cable extension now. For an oem camera with harness for “full size gm suv” you’d think the wires would be long enough. I prefer oem when I can and found a company MVI that uses an oem camera with wiring to go to...
2013 suburban, adding an OEM rear view camera.
after removing the piece that the camera mounts to, I’m not quite sure how the camera is supposed to be attached, I will obviously need to cut out enough to fit the camera in there. What I’m not sure of is how the camera attaches to the plastic...
I put a laughing emoji but it didn’t go through, we are very close. I’ll get the fluid and he will do it after customer work is done. Then I’ll get him a gift card as a thank you.
It’s already scheduled, hoping I don’t have issues afterwards. Father in-law is a dealer tech, he better not charge me full price
we don’t have a flushing machine at my work or I’d do it
it’s replacing my 08 2 door 2500 Silverado to keep from running two vehicles when we take the boat out. Loving it so far, fingers crossed I don’t regret the flush.
I work as an automotive mechanic for the past 9 years, and have never seen gm transmission fluid be anything but red -> dark red/ brown depending on condition. Just find it odd that it is so clear, almost fresh motor oil colored on the dipstick. But has a green tint when put on a paper towel...
Purchased a 2013 2500 suburban and although the transmission fluid doesn’t appear “dirty” or “burnt” it is an almost clear “pale” green color. I can not find anything on this, and the dealer claims they didn’t have the transmission fluid flushed.
I already have it scheduled to get another...
No, the middle of the bumper has no additional support. The air dam along the bottom of the bumper makes it more ridged, not sure if yours has one of those or not. I find it hard to believe that one bracket on the sides makes it that must sturdier but that’s all it is
Have one in the shop now. There is a piece that is welded to the crash bar that comes down and the plastic supports you installed attach to that.. looks like we will need to pull a crash bar from a scraped hoe/burb to get it back to factory
Those are not fog lights, and neither are the round ones you just posted.. that is why people are pissed at you. Because the light shines right in their face.. neither would pass inspection in my state because of this. Fog lights have a cut off line like factory lights do to keep from blinding...
I have the same issue (no lower bumper support) just picked up a 2013 suburban 2500 that was ex border patrol. I work at a repair shop, the next Tahoe/burn that comes in I will try to see what all is missing on mine and report back if you still need the info
Verify the correct bulbs are installed in all tail light sockets. A dual filament where a single should be or vice versa can cause strange lighting issues
