    Steering column lock 2003 z71

    Ever since it was stolen the mechanic can't get the column to lock. It works when I pick it up but after I get home it no longer locks again. I use the club to help out but it would be nice if it would lock like it did before it was stolen. Any suggestions

    My truck is a 2003 z71 Tahoe. I understand what you are saying, its just that its always read 14 volts until now. I will do some research to help me better understand the variable charging system and what years it is used. Thank you for your reply.

    My voltage meter has consistently always read 14 volts. Now it reads 13 even after extending driving periods. Does this mean the alternator is getting weak? The battery is 1 year old.

    Yes you need a good snap ring tool but I have done it with needle nose pliers, a screw driver and a small ballpeen hammer to tap it with. Once you know the size of the snap ring I would purchase a handful of them as it may go flying into the abyss during installation. Choose a time when your...

    I ended up posting a comment on the painting companies website and they called me at 8:30 am on Monday The Badger goes to the body shop on Monday for 3 days. That body shop has a good reputation and they paid for a rental car. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
