    Negative camber only in reverse?

Didn’t see the pictures before I replied. That’s a head scratcher for sure to be that far away from spec and maxed out. I’d say aftermarket cams is the best solution for the time being. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Negative camber only in reverse?

That was going to be my next suggestion. Something like the belltech cams, and open the slots on the frame a little more. To be quite honest, I feel like the tech didn’t know what he was doing or too lazy to put in the work. There’s really no reason why it wouldn’t align into spec. I’ve...

    Negative camber only in reverse?

How much do you trust your alignment tech? Looking at the sheet, it looks like they barely adjusted anything. They should be able to pull some caster out to gain some more positive camber. Aligning a wishbone like these trucks are kind of a push-pull situation, take caster, get camber and vice...

    Negative camber only in reverse?

If everything checks out as tight, installed correctly AND you have not precisely adjusted your tie-rods since the refresh, id blame it on excessive toe. Happened to me before. An alignment fixed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

3/5 and 285/45/22 or 305/40/22 on tbss reps?

Couple thoughts I’m sure plenty of people have put 305/40/22’s on 9” wheels over the years, but that is truly too wide of a tire. For one, the tire manufactures list a 10” as the minimum width for that tire. A pretty wifey accepted rule of thumb is, for optimal performance, you want to get your...

2016 Yukon Denali Rear squeaking noises after 2 inch lowering kit

Did you loosen and re-torque all the bolts to the control arms and panhard bar after you lowered it? Even though 2 inches isn’t a huge drop, the theory is that the bushings are pre-loaded at a certain height and the change in ride height without re-torquing them puts them in more of a bind. It’s...

    Tahoe Depo Headlight Mod

It was (maybe is still) popular in the retrofitter scene to mod/make new cut off shields in order to modify where the hotspot sits, create a sharper cut off line, create a rainbow effect at the cut off line, increase or decrease foreground limiters. All different reasons really, whether it was...

    Convert 4WD to 2WD

No gmt800 suv was ever made with coil springs, only torsion bars. If you look at the official drop guide thread, jkmotorsports clearly states he is dropped with spindles and keys. Good news is, the only difference between the two is the hub (it’s really the same hub except for no provision for a...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

I haven’t priced out zr1 calipers and pads, but it wouldn’t surprise me. The brackets are reasonable-ish and the rotors are oe big brake kit so those can’t be too terrible on price either. I agree. I’m surprised it took this long and the k2xx big brake kit hasn’t becoming more popular yet...

Need to soften Z71 suspension out of necessity

Concentrate on shocks first for sure, but check to see which torsion bars you have. There should be a tag on it with 2 letters. GMFS has a page called torsion bar 401 and you can cross reference which bars you have and how they rank amongst stiffness. I know my Denali, and id bet most of the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I have no clue how many they made, but iirc the Joe Gibbs hoes are the rarest of the models he modded. I totally spaced the interior but again if memory serves me correctly, it received a custom gauge cluster, dash bezel, special material (can’t recall if it’s suede or leather) where the two...

Can you explain the operation of it. Is it always on when you start the car? Is the remote pretty much worthless being hardwired to the battery unless you want to change colors/patterns? This has been on the mod list for years. Yours looks amazing. My ideal was to have it triggered to my...

    Lowered 01 Denali suspension problems

If I read that correctly, about the only thing you haven’t changed yet is the lower control arms and tie rods. Tie rods wouldn’t make it ride like a boat, but the bushings in the lower control arms could. Have you checked them out yet? Also what is summit racing’s drop kit consist of? If you...

Anyone running a 285/50/20 instead of 275/55/20 on drop?

I really want to believe it was the size and the age of the tires. I would try them one more time with a lower profile size in like a 22 or 24 and buy them new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lowered suburbans/xls hitch reciever vs ground

Get an aftermarket hitch. Most bring the receiver up close to your bumper. If you are serious about towing you should be getting one anyways, low or not, because your hitch is limited to 5000lbs despite what your rig is rated at. Etrailer has a nice curt class IV receiver package including a...

Anyone running a 285/50/20 instead of 275/55/20 on drop?

Had 285/50’s nitto 420s installed when I bought my Denali wheels. I hated them and the worst tire I’ve driven on. Pulled hard with ruts in the road and when rainy it would constantly hydroplane due to the tires pulling themselves right back into the ruts where the standing water is. Grip was...

    2WD SUSPENSION IN A 4WD

The shock mount is farther back on the torsion bar setup and lacks a spring pocket. You could get some shock brackets fab’d up that relocated to the 2wd position, run coil overs and 2wd lower control arms but the cv axles would still be in the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
