We added new badges for military service members (active and retired) that are now broken down into your specific branch opposed to just a basic military banner. We also have new badges for LEO, Firefighters and EMT. To get your new badge, either respond here or you can PM me @Griffin and I will add it to your username name. Thank you all for your service and dedication to the USA!

retired navy (submariner) , 1977 - 1999

I saw a documentary where a WW2 boat was forced so deep that it became 25' shorter, due to compression. LOL, they retired it.

That's just mind-boggling. My hat's off to y'all.

Hmmmmm........I'm sort of on the fringe. I was a volunteer police officer for 10 years. It was a left over from WW2. Today it would come under Homeland Security. At the time, it was the Defense Civil Preparedness Agency. Basically air raid wardens. We worked disasters and as a back up to regular police agencies. Think on it and if you think I qualify, stick it on my listing.

The way I look at it is did you put your life on the line to help protect others? If so, then IMO you most definitely deserve to represent!

Thanks, but what? I worked floods, concerts, tornado response, riot control, plane crashes, I was trained in Nuclear War Response (that one bothered me seriously), hostage negotiation and I was a qualified Radiological officer. I did wear a uniform and took an oath but I wasn't military. Just trained by them. I also worked with the Coroners office a couple of times.

We have the badge. Are/were you in that department?

I wish, but no. I'm way too old. If I were young though, and had a shot at working in space, I would not hesitate.

I could vaporize Russki spaceships with my laser, and kill angry aliens with my pulse weapon. ;)

I've tried to talk my grandson into enlisting, but no go.
