New to Me: 2013 Yukon XL Denali
Basically a twin to my 2014 in signature, but all stock. Great History, etc... Couldn't pass it up
Working on some of the little items to repair/ maintain
Drivers Door Mirror Assembly: the motor moves/runs but wont retract : I see gruven has parts to
repair the gears in it... But, the glass itself is kinda scratched up so was thinking to just replace the
whole darn thing.
Half of the Mirror shell is body colored (diamond white tricoat)... So how do I pick out a replacement
mirror assembly? Is the painted portion transferable to a new assembly ???
TIA for any help/ suggestions

Yes you can transfer the painted upper shell, but potentially little tabs can be broken..
Glass is easy to replace, but the factory defroster is a little better than aftermarket.

Just bought mirrors for a customer from carparts.com. I'm happy with the results.

Just be aware of the options and verify plug wires are right.

In another thread I found a motor to retract from amazon that's only like $33
I was able to polish up the glass so it's fine now.
Everything is good now except it's ability to retract
Thanks for the help
