I've recently gotten a 2017 SSV. As you said, the door latches & locks were an easy fix. For the rear windows, I recently bought a replacement door window switch off eBay for $13, for a cheap experiment. When it was installed, the new switch in the rear door operated the window, but in reverse (pull the switch up, the window went down, and vice versa). Also, the driver control for that window stopped working.

After I returned the original switch, it didn't work, and the drivers control worked again. I read that as the wiring is good, but the programming is unlearned, and maybe the switches are no good/dummy.

I went through the settings available via a Topdon AD800 BT scan tool, which is pretty nice, but not apparently thorough enough to get to the nut of the problem.

I'm going to take it to my local Good Guy mechanic this week, maybe he can get to the root of it.
Good Guy mechanic said take it to the dealer, likely only the OEM scan tools can deal with it.

Welcome from Miami Beach!

Moved you here from 2021+section.
Good afternoon - Sounds like you may be getting these conversions dialed in. I just purchased a 2019 SSV this last weekend. I'm starting with the center console. Were you able to figure out what all the wires were for? All I have is a cut bundle. Is there any other tips or tricks you have come across? What did you do with the roof mount light rack plug and mounts. It also seems as the 4 sensors in my bumper have been pushed in - at least I'm hoping they are still there. Did you do anything for adding back in the 3rd row seats? Any advice would be super helpful. I did download the PDF for the 2019 Tahoe Special Service.

I’ve been battling this problem as well. I got new switches and still the same problem. My RPO says it’s not a programming issue. (But I do have surveillance mode which I want reprogrammed!) ChatGBT says the brown/white wire is cut in the center console area, or drivers kick area. I haven’t located it as of yet. I’m going to do a deep dive as soon as I have my other issues sorted

I gave you the right answer earlier. You need the GM Tech guys to write you a BCM program that turns them back on. Nothing else other than hard wiring them is going to make them work.

You’re incorrect. It’s a wiring problem. I’m 1/2 way into it now. But I can tell you the switch doesn’t have a reference from the BCM. Brown/white wire from the switch dies out at the door boot. It enters the connector from the door side and it’s empty on the door jamb side.

I ran out of time today, but I will be running the wire back to the BCM either tomorrow or Thursday and I will confirm this is the problem.

I’m still working on this, but without schematics or technical help I’m not getting anywhere. I can tell you the “reference” wire was terminated at the door boot connector dead to the BCM side for the passenger window. The switch is also missing the low level ground reference input wire. I tried to tie into the passenger front switch but the wires don’t correspond and I don’t have the technical information to figure out which is which.

The drivers side seems to have the wires through the boot, but doesn’t mean they’re not terminated elsewhere.

If I had a BCM and switch schematic with Pin outs I could maybe figure out where they need to be connected.

I’ll continue to look into this as I have time. It’s becoming a mission now lol

Just bought (3) retired 2019 PPV Tahoe's.
Rear windows will not roll down from the rear switches.
Rear switches are connected and looked in the pillars and everything is connected there too.
Window switches on driver's front door are all connected.
Windows do roll up and down from the driver's switch.
All fuses are good.
Any ideas?
Inside the switches themselves a contact piece of metal has been removed, disabling the actual switch. Then they snap it together and reconnect it even though it has no function.

That’s on the old one from what I heard. I can confirm my 2015 don’t have that. I even bought new switches and still the same
