Decided to replace the stock SL tires on my 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax with the Continental Terrain Contact A/T. They come in the stock size of 275 50r22 and have an XL load rating. Got them from Discount Tire.

Although they are listed as an All-Terrain tire, they are highly rated for wet and dry traction on the road. The have a 3 Peaks Logo with Traction Plus logo. The also have a ridge of rubber just outside the wheel rim that appears to protect the rim from rubbing on the curb.

They are smooth and quiet. The tread is deeper than a street tire giving a more off-road look without going overboard. The tread is rated at 60,000 miles.

I tow a 27-foot Airstream occasionally. The slightly higher XL load rating gives an added safety margin without going for the hasher ride of an E rated tire on an SUV.

Very pleased so far. My wife did not complain about the ride at all.

Curious. Why did you need to replace after only a year?

I had 27,500 miles on the original tires in 16 months. They were ok but wearing a bit on the outer edge. I had been thinking about going to the XL / 115 load rated Continentals because when I tow my trailer I am near the SL tire’s load limit.

Then I got a nail in one tire that required replacing the tire so I just decided to go with the 4 new Terrain Contact A/T.
