I looked at my OEM wheels in the barn; there are a bunch of codes stamped in the inner surface of the barrel. But I couldn’t find any pressure or load rating, so apparently OEM’s don’t always do that. I thought it was a DOT labeling requirement but maybe I’m wrong.

Probably 90% of my driving experience (maybe more) is in sporty, nimble vehicles with very precise handling and feel. Not a tooth rattling ride (although the old Toyota Matrix was getting close) -- going way back my old boss had a Mustang that made my then Honda CRX with all season "performance" tires seem like a luxury car. Now, I don't expect a sport car ride from the Tahoe, but even the '09 Ford Explorer the Tahoe replaced didn't have that "wandery" feel, and neither does the Tahoe, now. I'd also add that the tire wear pattern on the Tahoe indicated under-inflation on all 4 tires, pretty equally. It's not severe, but that wear in turn apparently causes the noisy tires to be even noisier. It subdues a bit at 50 psi vs. the 35 psi the vehicle came with. (Less use of the uneven wear, I guess.)

The Tahoe is much better on "uneven" roads than the Exploder, BTW. :)

Yeah, I can't find anything on mine (at least with the tires on) either. The steel is hugely heavier (thicker) than the 80 lb. tires on our camper - granted the latter is not so heavy a load. I can't compare with our old Explorer even if I did recall, as it had Alum. Alloy wheels.

Lots of things on SSV's are beefed up -- maybe the wheels sometimes, too?

BTW, I posted a question about interior lamps here:

No replies. Poor place to post, or just too dumb a question?

I guess there is not much way (two choices) to change the forum display colors? I prefer the darker default option, but quotes "blocks" are quite hard to see. I'm rather surprised by the lack of color options on such a large forum. There certainly are a ton of other types of options! I suppose I could change MY text color manually, each post, and see if it carries over when someone replies to me...

It was quite an adventure (and a bit risky) acquiring this vehicle! !No, I didn't steal it from a cop!) It's in pretty nice shape, all things considered. "DE-copping it" has been quite an adventure, too. Will tell more when I have a bit more time.

For now: I came here after trying to find a way to join your "sister site", tahoeforum.com . But, there seems to be no way to join / it is locked from doing so??

You might want to post your questions in the PPV/SSV section since that is what you own. The other PPV/SSV owners will be more then happy to help you out.

This section is just for introduction. Not issues.

Well, I had done just that, at the link I gave. Mentioned it here because of the paucity of replies. (Did finally get one, but the poster didn't know either.) However, yeah, will try to further avoid questions here.
