Quite the trip for sure. I use to be stationed at great lakes naval base just north of chicago. Dont miss the winters there. Way colder than Alaska:eek:
Wish I had a vehicle at the time and could road trip around the area.

Lucky to go on a nice road trip. I envy you. Bet she didn't skip a beat. How many miles total did you do?

haha I felt lucky for about the first 8 hours

after that I was like maaaannnnn. it's the longest trip I've ever done nonstop.

I think I put 1300 miles total or so including some detours and missed exits

I'm bummed because we've had a ton of icy roads, but not very much snow yet :(

I really wanna have some fun learning about handling with AWD, but instead I just end up sliding thru intersections

first day in a long time where I haven't had any obligations with work or helping friends and stuff.... time to tackle cleaning the garage.

should hopefully have some updates today on deadener, rear hatch handle, getting rid of that amber bulb, etc, etc and am going to pick up my new box tomorrow

Your garage is bigger then the house I live in lol!

It is also bigger then my 2 bedroom condo.

and here I am thinking it's small lol. seems like I have to clean it every weekend in order to fit the 2 main cars

got a crapton of stuff done for only 6 hours of work

first, new bulbs:

no more amber lights, both are red, although they are different shades of red which kind of annoys me

then I put on the new door handle:

and my least favorite job ever, removing the headliner for deadener

I didn't realize how big the sunroof mechanism was, so I was really only able to deaden about half the roof.

usually I do 2 layers, but due to the situation, I went with 8 layers where I could reach.

tomorrow I go to pick up my new box:

and then I should be up and playing

still have to build the batteries, install my aftermarket alternator, wait for bigger amps, etc.. but at least we'll have something

also currently looking into HID retrofitting for my headlights because I joined the "Headlight Junkies" facebook page and some of the light outputs people are demonstrating are insane.

I thought my LEDs were pretty good, but I am quickly learning that I'm wrong lol

I also think my right headlight is loose or something, because my current highbeam situation is quite useless. I've adjusted it a few times and it just seems to give off less light than my lowbeams

now that I guess I'm gonna have a system, I needed a voltmeter

rigged up this Dioguardo Engineering - UsainVolt 3.0 voltmeter to fit next to the OEM traction control (does anyone use traction control?)

tried to get some videos today and blew an amp in the process

such is life
