Without changing your configuration, 01-06 gmt800 trucks use the same water pump iirc.
I don't know why you'd put a used water pump in. You never know how worn out one is from a wrecking yard and they're not that expensive.

Why would you get a used one? A new pump is cheap. Plus the effort to pull one at the yard, and then pull the one of your truck, and also any unforeseen problems, it's just not worth it.

Money is super tight right now so $15 seemed better than $100 (I thought they were that much through auto zone new).
Seeing $60 would probably make me change my mind. However, theres a part that broke on the old pump. Its the "T" that brings two hoses into one and plugs into the side of the water pump. I haven't been able to find a source for this "t" so I figured I could just grab it with the water pump.
Wikipidea says the 2003 Yukon was a GMT 830?

The "T" is part of the hose assembly. If you're on a budget you could cut the broken one out, and replace it with a barbed hose "T" and some hose clamps. You can get them in brass or plastic, the hardware store or auto parts should have them. Just cut the old one out as close to the joint as you can, so the hoses won't be too short when you join them back together.
The "T" is definitely something I'd get at the wrecking yard if money was tight. It would be easy to cut off the old hoses too. Or do what Aaron suggested.

You should be able to rent the wrenches atleast from a local autoparts store. None of my local ones had the GM tool that has two pins that lock into the waterpump. What I ended up doing was using a tie down strap with duct tape underneath around the waterpump and looped over the alternator bracket in order to hold the pump stationary while I broke loose the nut that holds the fan. Worked great.
