Hey guys so i have a ppv tahoe with holes in the headliner where the police dome light used to be there is 3 holes i belive 2 for screws and 1 for wires, the holes themselves arent big but the location guys whenever i look up i see the holes and they make me go crazy so i went and bought a 05 suburban for 3 bucks third row dome light wich fits like it was supposed to be there now before pulling the plug and cutting my headliner is there any way that i could fix them holes without changing the headliner or the fabric ?

View media item 25205View media item 25206View media item 25207I had the same holes in mine. I went to ebay and bought the same down light they pulled out. It has white/red. It pretty cool and I'm glad I went that route. Initially I was looking at other consoles too. This one just went right back up. I have the power tied into the front overhead light. It wasn't hard to mount. once you pull the front console you have access to get it mounted. Do an ebay search for

The red/white dome is the subtle cop look, which I am trying to keep to a certain degree. When I was first looking to cover up those mounting holes my first instinct was to find some kind of GM overhead console, to keep the GM/Chevy look. I found a couple that would have been just fine but then came across the cop dome light. So I figured why not? Then I came across a center console/jumpseat and that pretty much brought the interior back up to OEM specs. Glad I did. All my buddies are jealous of the dome light now. Lol.
As always, it comes down you what you like. To me, it just seemed easier as well to put back what was there. Your mileage will vary.

Wow, Matt, they did a nice job on the original install of the ticket light on your truck! It looked like they let a pitbull make the hole in the headliner for our ticket light, and, of course, removed it when they retired the truck. We went the same route you did, and installed a new ticket light. I like the look, and man, can it really light things up inside!

I never even thought about using a 3rd row light there. There's already a dome light in front of it, and the extra light is sometimes very welcome, especially since it drops light directly down into the black console interior. That's quite handy in a parking garage.

And to the OP: There is no way to fix those holes w/o replacing the headliner. You'll have to replace, or cover the damage.

Haha thanks! The first instinct when you see those holes is to cover them with something. Like the OP, my first thought was to stick with something OEM, because it would kind of naturally match the interior. It took a while for it to register that I should just put the ticket light back in. When I saw how nicely they were made I knew that would be the way to go. These lights would go nicely in any Tahoe though. They are easy to install.

Looks factory! Nice job! Is that tied into the front dome or does it have its own power switch?
What vehicle did that light come out of?

Nice score! If I ever pull the cop light I will definitely go that route.

I don't know. I've got too many screens already. Big screen in living room, smart phone, kids smart phones, several computer screens, laptop, tablets, etc. My Tahoe is my sanctuary from screens. Enough is enough. I'm even hesitant to put in the back up cam I bought. Lol.

We have one on the wife's 14 Pilot. It's pretty sweet. With all the road dirt that rapidly accumulates on my rear hatch though I wonder how often I will be cleaning the thing. On top of that, how long before the lens starts to become scratched and innefctive? For some reason the hatch on the wife's Pilot stays a lot cleaner than on my Tahoe. Lol
