I love to read this thread. It bothers me that auto makers don't expect the vehicles to last longer than 150k!558,*** on my 01 these days. A few months ago I finally blew up the transmission at 548k. The torrington bearing failed and upon inspection the entire transmission was trashed due to high miles. 10k on the new trans and the drive train is still going strong![]()
02 tahoe 200,000 now a lifter tick though
It actually only lasts a couple seconds but lasts a minute or two when it's real cold out what's your opinion of freshening it up valve train heads and turbo kitcommon issue,. does it go away once the engine is warm?
mine has a tick at start up and then it is gone once i am about 165-170*
this issue will be resolved when my heads come off after the cam, and heads go to the shop for a little bit of flow work.
