2005 Yukon

I went to get new spark plugs for my 2005 Yukon 5.3 L with 195,000 miles. The original plugs were AC Delco 41-110 .I've had 41-110 in all three of my Yukon's 1997, 2004 , 2005 now the parts store tells me the there has been a change to AC Delco 42-962 . I'm a little confused they changed from platinum to Iridium plugs. Which plugs are the best for my 2005 with 195,000 miles . I guess you can tell I'm no mechanic . Thank you for your help . I had a problem today #7 plug it was causing a misfire when it was removed the center electrode was worn down pretty bad causing the misfire , the plugs in the Yukon now are 41 -962

I believe the A/C Delco 41-962 is a Double Platinum plug, not an Iridium (if I am reading your post correctly eagle)…that is also the plug now spec’d for my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali over the original 41-985 Iridium plug…(going from iridium to double Platinum)

Going a bit cross eyed trying to figure out which plugs to get. ACDelco has a nice rebate right now, but it looks like they don't make the original iridium plugs for my truck anymore. The manual says 41-974, but when searching that, I get cross referenced to 41-162, but I also see people talking...

Yea, the iridium plug is not called for but the double platinum 41-962 is.
