Bump for this.

I had my fog lights installed while I was out of town this week by a buddy's shop. They didn't hook them up, though. I will be having them done next time I have it in there. What are my options? Do I absolutely need the wiring harness from the Sierra listed above, regardless of how they're wired? I would like to be able to turn them on independently of the headlights if that's possible. I would love to do the factory switch but I'm clueless here.

The Harness I listed above will make them Plug & Play, Power Wise. How you turn them on, is up to you. You can hook the Trigger Wire in the Relay setup to the Parking Lamps, so they come on with them, or put the Trigger Wire on a Switch, so you can be in control of when the Fogs are on.

Thank you Maxx and I stand corrected. I asked my buddy about it, and he told me they installed a switch, which I had missed so they weren't turning on. They are wired into the parking lights.

Was just wondering if you tap into the parking lights then will they automatically come on if you leave the dial on the auto option?

I was going to do the whole "piece it together" game, but the link above makes it pretty easy. and I like the smoked look as well. Now to get my wiring in order. going to just do a relay off the parking lights. I always have my foglights on in other cars whenever the headlights are on.

Group - I'm piecing together the fog lights, harness, and OEM switch. I think I can use the switch to operate the fogs without BCM programming as I've done it on other cars in the past. Does anyone know how to remove the left dash panel where the light switch/4x4 control is located? I don't want to scratch up the wife's new 'Burban figuring that part out. Thanks

Hello i'm new in this forum and my wife and I just bought a 2015 LT with no foglights, and yes i'm the one interested in adding them.
By reading this thread i'm aalmost ready to buy the lights and the harness, but still not sure how to power them. I'm even considering to add LEDs to headlights and foglights but first things first.

Any updates regarding wiring options both OEM or modification? I'm researching all over the internet at the moment.

I'm new to the forum and have a 2016 LT Suburban. I bought and installed this fog light kit. It fit perfectly and unexpectedly came with a chrome eyebrow replacement that exactly replaced the black factory brow using the same clips. It came with bulbs but I have Opt7 leds waiting to go in once I figure out the wiring. It came with a complete harness with switch. I'm trying to decide if I want a switch or to tap into the lights so they come on automatically. My challenge is that I don't know enough about electronics to figure out how to use a relay and tap into the lights. anyone suggestions would be awesome.
By the way the kit page is misleading. Picture at the top is not what comes the one at the lower left in clear is the correct one. Kit is on sale for $64.

Thank you for posting this, i also ordered this set and just received it today, it does indeed come with chrome eyebrows , now i need to figure out how to get them operational once installed. I personally turn on my fog lights at all times anyways so having them on all the time doesnt bother me.
Hoping to find out more info soon .
Cheers

Get the Fogs / Brackets, then get this Harness: http://www.ebay.com/itm/160904947810?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and either Tap the Parking Lights for Power, or if you don't wanna Tap the OE Wiring, put them on a Switch, with Power direct to the Battery, Fuse the Switch at 3A, so you can have control over when they are On & Off and you'll be set.

Mad Maxx, can you provide recommendation as to location and attachment (perhaps underside of dash) for an independent switch? I just ordered the kit that you posted.

Has anyone found an oem Kit yet?? I'm hesitant to purchase the foglight kits sold on eBay, Amazon, etc. but they are aftermarket so I don't really know the quality or durability they can offer. The only possible way to go is to purchase everything individually and have the dealer install it, but don't have money to burn like that either so i guess for those that don't have Foglights are screwed like myself. Hopefully GM will come up with one soon.....

Has anyone tapped into the parking lights... If so do they come on if the lights are set to auto?

I ordered the fog lights off ebay and it come with wiring harness / relay . Ordered switch 23187804 off Amazon. I was looking at wiring schematic and thinking I could control fog light relay using the control wire coming from factory switch .

Or you could use a HID relay harness and tap into the parking light wiring to trigger the relay and run the fogs thru the secondary side...

So the models with out fogs.... Are they still wired for fog lights. With my old dodge pickup the wiring from the engine bay to the switch was there.... I just had to buy the lights and harness and a new switch for in the cab and it was simply plug and play.
