Yes, thats my question as well. And how good are they. Looks like the replacements through GMparts is about $35 each side...so, am I really getting something as good for the $55, or is it just a cover?

Where are you seeing the $35 ones? Only ones I can find are $67 each from GM Parts Direct; unless you are checking a different GM Parts site.

Try part numbers 25824700 and 25824698. It says that they are the brushed finished steering wheel covers.

That's $86 total, which includes $21 worth of shipping and handling...YOWZA!!!

Thats at GMPartsdirect

You have to remove the steering wheel airbag cover. Do so by disconnecting the battery first. Then, there are 2 tiny holes on both left and right sides of the steering wheel, you will have to put some sort of small allen key in there to press and release the clip inside, do that for both sides. Then the cover comes off and I think there are 1 or 2 screws holding the little covers in place.

i just got my brushed aluminum steering wheel trim covers. i installed them right on top of my black ones which were peeling like crazy. I have a 07 Tahoe LT. They look ok. Def does not look factory but better than the peeling black. I don't know if I will keep. I may order the Gm ebony or brushed and just change them. I didn't want to mess with the air bag.

I have an 08 LTZ and my steering wheel cover was also peeling. I ordered the Factory OEM replacement brushed aluminum steering wheel covers that come on the 2010-2011 LTZ Tahoe's and have been coming on the Denali/Esky's. It's a replacement, not a cover, so you retain the "factory" look. Gmpartsdirect.com about $87 shipped If I remember correctly. Well worth, IMO.

wrong place to post this but no, it's not worth it (to me at least...very few digital radio stations in my area). google your local hd digital radio stations first if you don't you'll be stuck with two digital stations that SUCK like me.. in a few years i'm sure i'll use this more as more radio stations will turn digital

It'll only look good in light interiors, if you specifically mean the Platinum version. it is a "warm" aluminum color.

Let's revive an old thread here...

Anyone ever remove the stock ones, peel all the finish off, then re-coat it with something else? That's my plan. I'm just wondering because I want to find out the easiest way to peel it off. It seems like it's very poorly applied plastidip the way it peels in small pieces if I pick at it.
