I have been searching for a particular Tahoe for about a year now & finally found the right one..

So, I sold my 2003 Tahoe Z71 & bought a 2009 Tahoe LTZ, 4WD with the L9H 6.2L engine... with only 36,500 miles on it... still under 100,000 mi. warranty.

This thing is a beast... being an old fart, I was looking for something with good performance but comfort for traveling... Well, let me tell you this Tahoe fills the bill..

I have a 2007 GMC VortecMax 4WD, Z71 CC for my daily/work/towing vehicle & wanted something to replace the 03 Tahoe... I looked at another Corvette, but they are too darn hard for an old guy to get in & out of.. & I really like trucks!

I have a couple of things to do, change 22's to 20's, clean it up with super detail and then I will post some pics... Champagne Silver w/ Cashmere Leather interior...

I am not going to mod anything except the MIT as Jenna Bear suggested, the exhaust is pretty good.. so my big dilemma is Lloyds carpet mats or Weathertech plastic.. I am leaning to the carpet as this one won't play in the oilfield like the GMC.. any feedback appreciated

Anyone else have a Tahoe with the L9H engine?? I think they are pretty rare.. I know I looked a long time for one that was not wore out...

Thanks,

Thirdcoast

The 22" Wheels

I think they are called Model: 19170799, CK798.. they are the OEM black center, 12 spoke with machined rims... Neither of the pics are of the actual rims on the truck,, I can take some pics of them on the truck if you want..

They are in pretty good shape but have some small road rash on the out side of the rim on a couple of the wheels.. they come with Bridgestone tires that are probably 50%.

I am not interested in selling the rims only, must go with tires as I do not need them...

Thanks,

Thirdcoast

Thanks for the Compliment

I kinda figured that if I slow down, I may not get started again... heck, I started a new company the first of 2013 because I was bored..:D

I will post up some pictures next week when I put the other tires & wheels on her... she also had the factory mud flaps & window thingies that are now removed..

Here is a stock GM picture of what she will look like...

Have any of you taken the roof rack off?? I am really thinking of doing that.. the Texas Highway Patrol drives Tahoes with no rack & I think they look much more aerodynamic... Comments ???

Have a great day, gotta go drive the newbie for a bit...

6.2 Hoes are ALL win, and are as rare as an emotionally stable supermodel.

Congrats! :)

Price For 22's

I really do not know what they are worth.. I know they are really expensive from GM.. at least I thought they were.. But then again, I had a Lingenfelter Camaro a few years back & it had the Fiske 3 piece wheels on it that went for around $600 ea... glad I bought it used as the darn tires were a bunch also,..

I am going to be out of town this next week, but I will get a local shop to look at them & tell me what they would give for them..

Goodinblack You will have first shot when I find out.. also, I have a commercial FedEx account so can ship via FedEx freight.. I will get a price on that also.. I am in Texas.. send me your Zip code so I can get a freight rate..

Thanks for the compliments guys & the inquiry...

That's it! Ok, I knew I talked to someone who found a 6.2L Tahoe with those 798s.

Best of luck with the sale. Get us some pictures of your Tahoe.

22" Wheels

GIB..

The dealer who I got the new 20's from took the 22's in trade & gave me a good deal... so they are not available...

Sorry, but it saved me from having to ship them... & I am really busy with the oilfield booming down here...

Thanks for the interest,

Thirdcoast
