Has anyone ever had a fire in their engine bay before?
That means my halon fire supression system(s) just moved up in priority by about 10 slots on my list of mods... >> http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SAF-RS10AAB/This is why I roll around with a fire extinguisher under my backseat and I'm really **** about wiring. Seen some badass vehicles get set on fire, please tell us there wasn't a serious incident.
It didn't damage anything. Valve cover gasket had a cut in it, dripped oil onto the exhaust manifold and caught fire. We noticed it smoking really bad from under the hood, so I stopped, opened the hood, and glanced over at a small fire on the exhaust manifold. By the time I grabbed something to put it out, it had already extinguished itself, not even leaving any evidence that it was even there...
...except for the video.
im concered about the fire but i have a question. since your booste gauge is now in the pillar do you just have a hole in your cluster?
. Right now I have a picture of my daughters in there for the meantime, even backlit with the blue LEDs in the cluster. I'm going to install a PLX gauge in there later.
