Correct. clear 3rd = clear all... red tails = red 3rd

There is an escalade in my town with a clear third and red tails and it looks like someone shattered their lens on the third lol

Don't do it.
To me, smoked tails with red 35d looks bad enough. They way you want it, it will look really bad.

ew no. Id rather go esky clear or smoke those if anything. I had those tails and tried them for a test fit. I didnt even fully install one side before i took it off

Yes I think you would need the clear style escalade tail lights for the clear 3rd to look in place.

Yea clear with clear red with red I am about to paint my third brake light to match the tail when I bought the third brake light it was chrome but after a while the chrome rubbed right off.

Thx sumo. My post wasn't very clear (no pun intended ), but you and I are on the same page; that's what I meant--after seeing the clear (the pic I posted) I wouldn't want that. I agree they are ugly. I want the smoked look and would def be going with the Esky tails. was thinking smoke g4's with the clear 3rd-smoked.

However I'll prob just stick with the red now. After seeing the clear on Brooklyn Hoe's ride, I think it looks kinda naked.

With the red Im thinking I could always get the smoked later if I want...

heres my Esky Red Tinted. My painter used Clear paint mixed with a little black. Sprayed it 2x and came out perfect. Light comes through like oem

Thanks. I went with Esky cause i was a deal and a half that was way to good to pass up. Tail lens with plug and play harness already mounted, spoiler that was already the color of my truck and it was tinted, i ended up redoing them but still it was hard to pass up. Think i paid around 600 for everything.

there is only one replica that i know of and its the putco which is already a full bar but ther are almost 500 bucks for the lens only.
