craw under truck ,check under driver seat might find a knock out plug. if not then the fire wall . i did my about 3" from rear of the engine (driver side). drill small hole and fish a wire thru to see were it comes out . mind came out right above the gas pedal. when you run your power wire used a rubber ring to protect the wire, also caulk around the hole. good luck.

there should be some wires that are already passing through the firewall right under the steering wheel..they have a rubber gasket around them..what you need to do it try to squeeze the wire through the outside of the rubber..i got my 0 gauge through it..heres some pics

Hell, I'm about to run 6 runs of 1/0 from my alts to the back. I'm still deciding running them under the truck and drilling behind the 2nd seat, or bringing them through the firewall and under the carpet.

6 different 1/0 wires?!
Why?
Why not run one from the alt, and but your spare batteries back there on power blocks?

Because I'm gonna have 750 amps in my 2 alts, going to 5 XS Power d3100's. Two of those runs will be ground runs, and 2 runs from each alt.

Would you not want shorter grounds?

he will get better grounding/charging from alternators running dedicated 1/0 ground/12v cables. this is not necessary in most vehicles. go read up on some car audio forums if you want to really learn.

if you drill a hole in the cab, use the rubber protectors. they are there for a reason. friend in high school didn't and the sharp sheet metal wore through the wire surround and grounded out and burnt his truck to the ground. wire was fused and everything. only takes a little spark to set the carpet on fire and its over.

i ran mine along the rubber surround where the rest of the wires from the fuse box go to the cab. i have a run of 0 guage, 4 gauge, and about 10 other various smaller gauge wires going through and fitting just fine.

I'm fully aware of how it works. Thank you.
I wasn't offering advice, simply asking a few questions about his build :)
