@ Felix.

That thing was installed so clean it looks like it was soldered in.

The biggest one Magnaflow makes is a 5x8x24 is it not? Wouldn't that one be the quietest?

It is 2 inches longer.

Also, can someone explain this setup.............http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjgdTNymxdk

They are using 2 smaller mufflers as resonators?

So this is quieter than ONE 12589? Correct?

Thanks.

no magnaflow makes the 5x11x22 which is the quietest. You will not need anything else with that one. Listen to my escalade video even with 3.5 pipe and resonator cut off thing still is not loud just a good clean tone.

@ Tony...........

So to clarify a 5x11x22 is QUIETER than a 5x8x24, even though it latter is 2 inches longer.

The reason I ask again is because Magnaflow told me the opposite of this, and since many companies have trained monkeys answering the phone........... I asked here again.

Also, looking at your video Tony...... is how I came across the other Escalade video. :hands:

Overall surface area lxwxh

5x11x22 is a nice chunk bigger then 5x8x24.

I have a 6.2 which is louder then 5.3
6.2 have 3.5 cat back 5.3 has 3 inch
I'm not running resonator in mine
Also look at the design of the stock resonator I out pics up it doesn't do much.

Not sure which one is the biggest but I know the one I got is definitely one of the bigger ones. Also yes since I got the same configuration as the stock muffler it made for a really clean install and fit. Highly recommend this one to all you yukon/tahoe guys.

So since my intake has been on, my mpg has gone up by 1.1.

I go the exact same way to/from work everyday and was averaging 15.3 before and now I'm getting 16.4

Still haven't had a chance to get it tuned yet...

I hear ya. I drive the same way...most of the time. Mine went dipped 1 mpg after it went up 2, under the same driving conditions. I believe the ECM is learning & compensating for the intake... More air means its compensating with more fuel...that is only a theory. I'm no expert on this subject. I know merely enough to be dangerous. :)

We discussed this in this thread: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44858
