Yates he seems like a decent guy despite his post.
I can personally say that most cops mind their business down here, IF one minds their own. Most people think I get pulled over a lot due to the way my Tahoe looks, but I don't. Knock on wood.
I do think sometimes cops just like to give people a hard time just cause though. One time I got a handicapped parking ticket for parking in the Ihop handicap at 4 in the morning. Me, some friends, and cops were the only people there. Yes I broke the law, but it was not like I made a handicap elderly woman suffer to make it inside because I parked in handicapped. I do understand I provoked it by parking there though.
Sometimes cops do BS, but at least 80% of them don't.

I do apologize for making assumptions about you but the way you posted earlier made it sound like you condone a police officer being above the law so my assumption was that you followed the same logic. I having nothing but respect if you are one of the officers that follows the rules and does not pull over people without a valid reason. I still stand by my statement that if a cop needs to break the rules to write a ticket then they should find a new profession as they are not capable of being in law enforcement.

I dont condone LEO doing anything illegal. I work with guys like that and i wont even talk to them. As for me saying it made me laugh, i was only making a statement/post. It did make me laugh... but not because i approve... but simply because I laughed. 1am and layin on the couch, i was just responding in a relaxed fashion.

The attitude that you emitted by laughing at the fact that a police officer not needing a reason to pull people over did rub me the wrong way. A police officer is not above the law.

I know we got off topic... but ill assure u im not the guy who became a cop cause i was picked on.... i did it because I wanted to be Ponch (dont know if ur old enough to remember CHiPs)...along the way i found out that i could.make these tiny positive differences in peoples lives.... and here i am... living in the grey area...with the rest of the world knowing that not everything is black and white or in a book.

I will also say this.... i modify my vehicles and sometimes the mods are not legal... ie, window tint.... loud exhaust.... Ive bedn pulled over for tint.... ive received tickets... and i pay them because i rolled the dice in having that mod..... i also dint show my police.id when stopped because although the job is carried with me everyday... im not a cop off the clock.... im a regular person.
