Does any one know 07 Tahoe front doors' flood light should work or not? Or just a reflector lens?

My 07 Tahoe has that lens, but when door is open, there is no lighting. Since my 07 Tahoe is base model, so if you have high-end option, your Tahoe's, Suburban's, or Caddy's, .... flood light may working.

My 99 Tahoe has that light being on whenever the door is open.

It's a reflector on my LTZ but I know it's an actual light on the Esky's.

Here is the photo of the Esky door panel backside... you can see the wiring harness for the light:

OK, there is no light but a lens.

But, is there any light bulb socket or wire harness behind the door panel? If that the harness is there, th light bulb could ba added-on.

Like DIC switch or button on 07-Up Silverado and Tahoe PPV, some base model does not have that switch, but the wire harness is behind panel, you can add on a switch, just plug-in. See the picture, the switch is an added-on item by opening a rectangular hole on the panel:

I could be wrong but I don't see why you couldn't just order the socket/harness and bulb and hook it up. It only illuminates when the door is opened.

It's number 10 in the below image and 14 bucks each:

You are right, there is no issue to order it. But what is other end connect of Item 10? Wher to connect it? If there is no wire harness behind the door panel, how can be the Item 10 connected?

The wiring comes with the socket. I can't recall from when I had my door panel off but I think I recall seeing an empty socket on the window switch box where this may plug into or it may simply "tie" into the existing wiring. I'll dig around and see what I can find.

This picture shows the connector:

I looked at doing this some time ago and it just fell off my radar. Honestly, even if there isn't a place to plug in the socket, it shouldn't be difficult to wire this in.

Good info! Thanks.

What is the color of Item 10 lens? Red or translucent?

BTW, do you have Item # 10 GM/Delco Part #? When I place order via GMPartsDirect.com, I will be handy if I have the part #.

Lens cover should be red.

I don't have the part number but I can navigate you to it for gmpartsdirect.com:
go to the catalog and select 2008 - CADILLAC - ESCALADE - ESV - BODY HARDWARE - FRONT DOOR - INTERIOR TRIM - Courtesy lamp

Once you get there you should see two items (as depicted in the picture on that page and referenced above)

left and right door courtesy lights. They are 13.49 each.

I wanted to let people know that it does work but it's not plug and play. I got the 2 part numbers:

left 15876516
right 15876517

Everything fits fine except the fact that there's nothing to plug the connector into on our tahoes. You have to tap into some wires that attach to the window switches.

Once again, I did not do it myself so I'm not sure which wires to tap into but I do know that its a good idea to use 4001 diodes. I took the door panels off and I took it to a guy I know about 15-20 min to get them working. They come on when the door is open and stay on until the door is closed.

I already swiched the bulbs out for LED. I love it, another great mod for about $60!

Just did this today, part numbers above are correct and include everything you need. I'll explain the wiring in detail later. I also put cool white LEDs (194 bulbs) in there like the rest of my truck.
