Better air flow will boost a lawnmower.

I suppose, having a “high-performance” air intake is good if…….
You push your gas peddle to the floor….. But gas savings isn’t an issue then.
My Airaid is helpful allowing my hands to reach around the front of engine, and also a common sense design instead of the ‘funky’ design of the OEM / noise reducing intake.

Surprising gains from sealing up an electric leaf blower to the intake. Wire it up so it adds 'boost' over 75%-83% TPS,
and recharges whenever under 66%-74% TPS. Better value than a 'cold air intake' in terms of performance gain.

Huh, my memory was that a better flowing airbox did nothing until the engine was making over 350-375 horsepower. Then again, he tests on an engine dyno with headers and his baseline junkyard engines are making about 375 horsepower at the flywheel if I remember right.

I was going to get a Volant for my 6.2 pickup but never got around to it.

I've seen that guy a few times on 'Engine Masters'. Never seen his YT stuff. FWIW, he struck me as a clown.

A big reason for the noise reduction is federal noise regs. I'd guess it's also a big driver of the 'funky' OEM design.
