So I had a soft/mooshy shift from 1st to 2nd that turned into a hesitation in shifting from 1-2 sporadically --after driving for a while. Not reving up like a clutch was slipping --just like it was trying to catch its breath. I replaced the OEM servo with a Corvette style servo. While under there dropped the pan and did the 5 solenoids and upgraded the accumulator (Sonex Pinless kit). Also replaced the filter. Very nice crisp shift now. True source of the problem was the accumulator...it was letting fluid past. Figured do it all while there.

i have installed a TON of the pinless 1-2 accumulators over the years. i have seen a lot of cracked plastic pistons and hell in my personal TBSS, the pin was worn letting fluid leak past the piston causing a lazy 1-2 shift.
I really like the corvette servo combo, pinless 1-2 accumulator pin and then some trans tuning. Really helps these trucks a LOT.

Tested KOspeed tow mirrors. I bought them from ebay, but they shipped from amazon. Only $75 shipped.
Looked promising, has metal base. Was packaged well and advertised for '03-'06.
But the fit...
Not something I can live with, so I will be returning them.

How about some low heat applied with a heat gun? Get them pliable enough to push them flat?

Yes, $75 and being metal sounds pretty good to me.
Maybe another option is to install some stainless steel washers as spacers to even out the gap? IDK?

I thought the washer fix was for the hinge mount to fix the mirror angle?
I dunno, it just didn't fit into place right, and the foam looked cheap poking out around the mirror unevenly, plus the huge gap.
I would rather try another set if I thought they would fit right...
Would even consider the basic boost auto ones at $340, but I really don't like how their logo is embossed on there..
Think I'll just get new mirror glass for now, and focus on the clunk in my suspension & drivetrain next..
At least there's been no new codes for a week or two now..
