This took me by surprise, was getting fuel today and I felt the distinct 4HI bind in a turn but mine is AWD.
Front and rear diffs have about 30K miles on Amsoil 75-90 Severe Duty fluid, transfer case also has 30K on the Valvoline Maxlife ATF.
It felt and sounded like the rear tire was skipping a bit but cleared up after a few turns and driving straight...hard to tell if it was from the front or rear.
I have the G80 rear and have had no issues. The transfer case chain does have a good bit of slack and it's going to be replaced with a freshly rebuilt one soon.
This was after about 10 miles of driving normal, no hard starts or turns, no spinning tires or trying to anyway.
Does this sound like the transfer case?

Came out a little thin with some light silver hue, I think I caught it early enough but the fluid looks beaten down. I thought I changed it at 140K and it was back around 125K, with so much going on I just lost track of time. Gears look good but yikes, need to be more careful.
