I have had aftermarket dash cams before. The integrated is superior becuase it’s really 360’degrees of coverage.

Also with the aftermarket cams the are mounted on the windshield and can’t “see” the front bumper. The integrated can.

I received a 254.6 ota update, done. I’m android 12. Then for a couple days I received a message saying 254.6 was 66% downloaded. Today after a long road trip I had a message saying download complete do you want to install, I said yes, I now have android 14. Haven’t played with ir yet but curious if I have camera recording capability.

Update: I have the camera recording capability, it’s very cool. My hud is not working now and yes I have turned it on/off several times. Somebody previously in one of the threads had same thing and if I remember the fix is give it some time.

Update: hud now works, it just needs time to figure itself out.

I ordered a 2026 Yukon XL AT4 but don’t have a build date.

Is the Surround Vision HD (to be used as a dash cam) a standard feature or a separate line item that needs to be ordered? Is it combined or can be combined with other packages?

I’m trying to figure out if my Yukon will come with it or if I need to have it added.

Edit: Never mind, I looked over my order sheet again and found UV2 as a separate line item.

I received the following reply from my dealer when I posed this same question to them.

“Yes you have HD Surround. UV2 is the correct code.

It's on the right side of your build sheet 10th one up from the bottom.

Dashcam is a option you can get through parts. But, its not orderable through the factory OR an available option to add on.”

Can anyone shed light on that last sentence?

Typical clueless dealer, that idiot isn’t aware that the truck has a built in cam recording now.

I have it on my Tahoe RST, you’ll have it in the Yukon. Just plug a usb drive into it and go to “recordings” on the screen to activate it.
