How many features can be re-programmed in these trucks? Is there a list?

I believe it is part of regulation like you said… it’s a safety feature partially designed to keep the doors from opening during a car accident.

Maybe I’m a little slow but why do ppl not like auto-locks? It’s so non-intrusive and why on each would you care if the door is locked while in motion? Means someone cannot walk up to you and open the door at a red light and potentially keep the door closed during a car accident?
One reason - Because in a crash, someone on the inside may not be able to get out, or emergency personnel on the outside may not be able to easily get in.

There are most likely other reasons, too.

For me every click/ding/beep is a distraction unless it's important.
I absolutely cannot stand all the chimes, all they ever do is distract me, for apparently no reason at all.
I guess I have a condition since everyone else is OK with it.

Dropping people off.. I know it's 'safer', but it's ridiculous to put the vehicle in park everytime.
(Maybe you disagree and I could be wrong.. look at enough accident reports and one might change their mind)

Auto locking, is also auto-unlocking.
I thought there was a story about some agents changing gears, inadvertantly putting it in park, opening the doors to their demise?

In the end, I'm an older guy used to older ways, which aren't always better..
But there's no guessing and it's just more logical for me to lock my doors if driving through a bad area.
You live in a bad enough area, you might absolutely prefer the doors to lock all the time.

Giving us the option would have been nice..
I was considering selling my Tahoe after I bought it because of it.. Was never a problem in any other vehicle I've owned. (All older I guess)
Nothing $400 couldn't fix.. And luckily it comes with a bunch of other cool options that makes the AutoSync a bargain IMO.

I guess… but two pulls on the handle unlock and open the doors? I really am not arguing one is better than another, I really am trying to understand. I guess I can understand the emergency responder trying to get in if the driver passed out and it’s a relatively “minor” accident. I’m not sure…

@mikez71 - the brings and bongs being distracting I can 100% understand. I do like my old 99 Toyota because I think it only bings as a “hello” when you start it!
I do like my lane departure warning. If it’s binging that means I’m not driving between the lines LOL

I'd LOATHE such a feature. If I'm not driving between the lines intentionally, my vehicle should not be 2nd guessing me.
Shut up. It's not a failure to signal!
I did not signal, intentionally, because when you signal in NYC, you're basically telling someone to prevent you from making the lane change you just signalled.

True experienced emergency personnel can get the door open. I was a Paramedic/Firefighter for over 20 years. I still have a tool to allow access in my ride today.

Anybody know if I can use the diablosport predatorX to do things on the BCM like remove the 2 button push requirement to open all doors?

BTDieselworks autosync w/BCM programming can make it one press unlock all.
I'm aware of nothing else that can program the BCM..
(heard of some engineering type tools that can easily brick your module if you don't know what you're doing, and also costs much more)

And regarding @MarvinVR 's question about disabling stabilitrak., it seems anything that faults the system may do it.
(unplug steering sensor or yaw sensor)
Autosync now has cluster programming if you want to scale the sweep of the guages, or disable the stabilitrak lights!
Though I have not purchased that or tested it.

SO.... IS there a way to change the autolock/unlock feature ????
I really don't like autolock/unlock in any of my cars...
I'm actually ok with auto lock.. just not auto UN lock
I have HP Tuners (which won't allow changed to BCM) and Good BiDirectional scanner too

'Auto door unlock' is a DIC setting you can turn off already!

Auto lock can be defeated with the Autosync.

I ordered the AutoSync last week, I think they are out on vacation because the order has not been fullfilled yet. I can not wait to get my hands on this. One of the main reasons is I want to disable the Bulb Out Warning which will remove the hyperflash and I can run some serious LED bulbs. On top of that remote start can be extended and a ton of other options for the K2XX...

You can swap the unit itself to other vehicles, but the BCM programming is VIN locked..
If you only want BCM tune in one vehicle, you could use it to tune it, then remove the unit and plug it into another vehicle for the hardware functions..
I think..

Just got my Autosync and bought the programming license,
I'm thinking about doing a detailed review on all the features and how they work. Thanks guys without y'all I wouldn't have found this...
I ordered mine a week ago, I think they were on vacation. Then on Monday this week it said UPS label has been printed but its been now 4 days and nothing has been updated so I have no idea when I will get mine. Feels like the 2 longest weeks in my life, I ugess I am just that excited about some of the BCM calibration changes. Number one thing I am doing is the BOW disable so I can run LED bulbs all around.

Here's what did NOT work for me, but if we bug him, maybe he will get around to it?

Speed sensitive wipers
windshield washer wipe delay

auto door locks - might work but it's more of a process disabling it and having to select default settings in the DIC..
(I set my speed very high which was simpler and works)

I have a 2016 Sierra 1500 so I'll see if it works for mine, it may just be a programming bug with the SUVs. He will probably fix it if you tell him it's not working and would really like it fixed
