Hello,

Last weekend my truck decided to run but shortly after die. No codes were present so I had a guy bring his scanner and it appeared the MAF sensor was bad.

So I went ahead and cleaned my throttle body replaced the MAF sensor with a Delphi one and while the battery was disconnected let it set for 30 minutes so the ECM can do a relearn. However now my issue is that when I’m driving it will randomly jerk/stutter.

Facts:
Car: 2012 Escalade Cammed DOD/AFM and VVT deleted
Primary Code: P0102
Secondary: P0010, P3401, P3425, P3441

I’m starting to suspect I need a scanner to do a ECU, throttle body, and MAF relearn or reset. The shop I did my tube with has mixed reviews so I may also need a better tune

[SOLVED]

Issue was the DOD connector power wire was grounding off of the engine

based on those codes it sounds like it is still trying to read the vvt system. i.e. (not turned off)
but that's just a guess based on the codes and you stating it is physically deleted.
might be advisable to reach out to whoever did the tune and see what they say, even if they have mixed reviews

Possible it's still the MAF..
Since the other codes are secondary, those may be left over from before..
(when VVT was deleted, if codes were not cleared before tune.)
It was deleted about 8 months ago I tried duralast but after criticism I returned that and put a Delphi on it

could be both, the maf going funky should not cause a vvt issue. I have seen them cause dam near every other code though including misfires

other codes are afm codes, probably old codes that were never cleared..

And I don't think there is a MAF relearn, and old codes may not be clearable now, so I wouldn't worry about a scanner for those purposes..
