Yaw Sensor Location

Does anyone know where the YAW sensor is located in our vehicles?

For those of you who didn't catch my Stabilitrack post, my truck is sensing a "skid" when it's not happening (hot dry ground) and is applying ABS during a turn. It happens at various speeds depending upon how sharp a turn is. Could be 55~60mph on a sweeper for the interstate, or at 30mph on a sharp off ramp. I am looking into a permanent fix for this, hopefully through tuning but as of yet - nothing.

As a shortcut and temp fix, I read that I can splice the ground wire to the yaw sensor and put an inline momentary switch in place. Pressing the button and breaking the ground connection will throw codes and disable stabilitrack, ABS, TCS for the current key cycle. Once the truck restarts, everything is back to normal.

I read that it is located under the carpet under the center console. I have the console delete option for my truck but assume its there. Just wanted confirmation from anyone else who has seen it before I start tearing apart the interior. I would appreciate letting me know. Thanks in advance.

On my 2007, the yaw sensor is bolted to the truck's metal bed under the passenger seat.

it should be either under the passenger seat or center console, but that's if gm left it where it has been in previous years, it's supposed to be there logistically to get correct readings
did you try a relearn already?
this is the procedure for 2010-2014 it should be the same procedure just with gds2 instead

if it's throwing codes I would check to make sure the wiring did not get damaged somehow and just replace it, do a relearn and see what happens.

Ok I haven't pulled the center seat out of the truck yet to see if its there. A lot easier than removing the drivers sear cause I have disconnect the battery and wait 30 mins so I don't blow an airbag. Not going to take a chance even though its just the seat belt tensioner wire thats connected to the seat.

@Doubeleive No codes. Trucks fine. I made sure there were no new codes and cleared the past. I need a Mongoose adapter to do a relearn so I am living with the "Driver Assist diminished" message even though there are no issues with steering.

There are 3 potential solutions to my "issue"

Basically its on on\off switch for the wheel sensor. To get around the antilocke coming on during sharp cornering, I manually unplug the wheel sensor on the drivers side. This switch does the same thing without having to get grease on myself or screwing up the plugs.

Option two is to put a kill switch in between the ground of the Yaw\Multi-Axis sensor. Flip the switch, ground lost, sensor disabled. Same effect as pulling the wheel sensor...I think? I am hoping if I kill this the yaw will disable Stabilitrack and keep the ABS working. Its an unknown but worth it if it works. The CDamaro and Vette guys do this and they say thier ABS is maintained. Doubful that the functionality is the same seeing the vette and camaros are expected to be on the track and our rigs are not.

Option 3 is completely unknown - tuning out or lessening the sensitivity of the yaw\stabilitrack system using something like HPTuners or the Mongoose adapter. Still in research mode...
