Hey group, have a question about a recent oil pan leak that I noticed on my 22 Denali with the LM2 with 56,000 miles on it. This is a daily driver in Denver, Colorado. Mileage is great engine is great, the whole truck is great but did notice a slight sage of oil around the oil pan when I change the oil last time. Is this normal or am I being paranoid? Had a 2007 Toyota forerunner with 190,000 miles in it for 15 years and never saw oil coming from the oil pan. Any input from the forum will be great. Thank you.

If it's just basically slightly weeping with just a few witness marks. I wouldn't read too much into it. Maybe snug up a few pan bolts.
If it's worse than that, or leaving stuff on your garage floor, then it's time to really figure out what's going on......

Sounds like a plan. Thx.

This is a good video to review. It highlights the most common leak points on the LM2. Your leak might look like an oil pan leak but could be coming from somewhere higher up.

2022 is probably beyond the relevant period - but might not be - to make sure there is no main seal leak due to faulty installation at the factory for the earlier LM2's. The main seal will leak into the frame and not show much sometimes.

CTown - thanks for the reply. I’ll take a better look. HD
