A few months ago, I had the dealer do an update to my 360-camera system on my 23 Yukon XL AT4 and I just realized that when in motion (+10mph) the only camera that will work is my hitch camera. I don't remember this being the case. I swear I was able to use all cameras at any speed but i could be getting old and losing my memory.

What are you all able to do with yours?

21 HC, I know I could see front, rear, and hitch mount at speed for several seconds before it stops displaying, but I can refresh again if needed.

Was the update auto ota, or did you or a dealer update it?

I haven't had any recent updates but my 23 is able to view all cameras at any speed without turning back off. It just stays on lol. My 22 only lasted for a few seconds.

That's what I remember as well. I have had issues where my driver mirror camera goes full black so my last visit they did a software update and now i only get the hitch view when driving over 10mph. I'm a little annoyed about it and going to bring it up since the camera issue is not fixed yet. Taking it in again tomorrow.

I'm assuming it was an update they did for "safety" but it's safe for me to be able to use all the camera's available to me.

My 21 gives you 8 seconds while in motion.

My ‘25 does not turn off the 360 camera at all while driving if you activate it yourself regardless of the speed.

Very disappointed here. Just got a call from my dealer and they verified for me that one of the recent updates by GM disabled all but tow ball view at speed. He sent in a message to TAC and engineers but is not hopeful. My assumption is that this update was pushed in 2025 sometime in Q3/4 so I'd guess that anyone with a 2021-2025 would fall into this change.

At this time the best thing we can do is file a complaint with GM about the change. While we appreciate them pushing updates that make our vehicles better, safer, efficient and reliable; it is not up to them when to push updates that will disable or remove features that the vehicle was purchased with. This goes without saying that should there be a need for them to disable/remove features we should get notice and opt out.

My 2026 was able to do it when I bought it in December.

I haven’t tried it recently becuase I don’t get the point.

I agree with GM why do you need to be looking at the cameras when you are supposed to be looking at the road driving?

Also if someone wrecks because they were being a dumb ass looking at the camera some lawyer could sue GM for it.
